Can you believe the school holidays are over already? They seemed to fly by for us! However, now the kids are back at school you might be wondering what to do with your time – here are some ideas that we hope help to inspire!
Look After Yourself
Although the summer holidays are fun, they can be quite tiring. Kids can be demanding when it comes to your time and activities that they want you to help facilitate so no one would blame if you used the time you have now the kids are back at school to catch up on some relaxation. Looking after yourself looks different for everyone, so don’t be afraid to do what feels right for you even if that isn’t the same as everyone else. It could be that you want to dedicate more time to a hobby you enjoy or it could be that you simply want to make the most of the last few weeks of sunshine by relaxing in the garden – whatever you need, use this time to make some time for yourself.

Work Out Your Christmas Budget
We know, the summer holidays are only just over and we’re mentioning Christmas – but when you think about it, it really isn’t that far away! Rather than let it worry you and stress you out nearer the time, use the quiet time while the kids are out of the house to sit down and work out an affordable and sensible Christmas budget. It might even be that you want to start buying and wrapping presents – doing this while they’re at school is the ideal opportunity!
Side Hustle
If you’re interested in earning a little extra pocket money then considering a side hustle or two to take part in is recommended. There are plenty of Instgrammers and forums out there that share decent survey websites and market research opportunities. You might not get rich with these schemes but they’re a great way to earn yourself a little extra pocket money while the kids are out of the house and you have some peace & quiet.
