Count Your Steps

Moving your body is always a good way to work towards a fitter body; so counting your steps is a good step You can buy plenty of devices that help you do this and you may even find that your smartphone has a counter. Set yourself a goal – it doesn’t have to be the same as everyone else’s, remember we all have our own goals and we all move at a different pace. Challenge yourself to find different ways each day to get your steps in.

Join a Class with Friends

Getting fit doesn’t have to be a solo activity and it doesn’t have to be that every activity is about getting fit. Joining a dance class with friends for example – lots of fun, a way to catch up with people you care about and as an added bonus you’ll spend the duration of the class moving your body, win-win! A good thing to try is something like a resistance bands workout – this is a non-strenuous way of working out and ensuring that stretch your body in the right way. Doing this during or before a workout can help you up your stamina much more quickly.

Work Out What Keeps You Motivated

It can be hard to keep up any regime like this long term so it is important to work out what keeps you motivated and use this to your advantage – maybe you need a day off each week, maybe you have a goal you really want to aim towards; whatever it is having that to motivate you will really help you achieve your fitness goals long term.
