Once you have finished redesigning your perfect kitchen, or perhaps even before that you might be considering how to decorate your living room. Bedrooms and living rooms tend to be the places we spend the most time in at home, so it stands to reason when it comes to decorating your living room you’re going to want to get it right – here are some tips.

Make The Most of The Space You Have
It is all well and good growing the links of interest and Insgartram for home inspiration, but realistically you need to work with the living room you have. Yes, we might all lust after a 10 seater L-shaped sofa but as a general rule, this is far too big for most living rooms – which means you’ll end up cramped if you can even fit in the sofa at all. That doesn’t mean you can’t create the perfect living room but it does mean working out what is best for your room and working with it from there.
Choose Colours Wisely
The colours you put on your walls and therefore the rest of your match accessories really makes a difference. Dark colours can look lovely but if your room is already quite dark and doesn’t have much natural light then it can leave the room feeling dull and dinghy. Instead, work with what you have and use nice, light or bright colours to ensure that the room stays nice and bright- it will make all the difference.
Don’t Forget Your Finishing Touches
Once you have got this far, if you want the perfect living room then it is the little touches that make all the difference. For example, make sure that you use a skirting board to finish off the painting of your walls or glossing woodwork to brighten up around door frames. Then you can accessorise and finish the room perfectly, giving it your sense of style and somewhere that you’re happy to relax in at the end of the day.
